Our Radio Presenting Course participants spend a day at the Radio Na Life studios
The participants in our most recent Radio Presenting Course which took place at the Radio Na Life studio in Dublin. The course covers all elements of radio, including presenting, producing, and researching. The course provides you with confidence when stepping into a radio station.

Ellen Gunning meets footballing legend Niall Quinn
Our CEO Ellen Gunning met footballing legend Niall Quinn at an Irish International Business networking event in London recently. Niall is best known for his time spent with Premier League clubs Arsenal, Sunderland and Manchester City, as well as his successful international career with Ireland.
A witty raconteur, he kept the audience spellbound with stories of his early days in football through to his mega-fame both in Ireland and the UK.
Ellen Gunning speaks to Bertie Ahern ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement
Our CEO Ellen Gunning interviewed former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern recently, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the historic Good Friday Agreement. The invitation came from Cormac Devlin TD, Government Deputy Chief Whip and one of our Academy graduates.
Ahern went into detail about the gruelling schedule behind the lengthy negotiations of the agreement. He spoke about the difficult situation he faced as his mother passed away during the time of the negotiations, making it a particularly stressful time.
Ahern also detailed the fact that the negotiations were very close to falling through altogether, but luckily did not, as peace was restored on the island of Ireland.
Colombian-Irish Connection
Our CEO Ellen Gunning attended the farewell reception for the Ambassador of Colombia, Her Excellency Patricia Cortez Ortiz. She set up the embassy in Ireland and was the first ambassador accredited to the country.
During her time, she forged strong links with schools, businesses and the political community, increased sales of Colombian products in Ireland, hosted the visit of the Colombian Foreign Affairs Minister and the country’s Vice President, and oversaw a visit to Colombia by now Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. She was a dynamic champion of all things Colombian!
Cocktails and Connections
Our CEO Ellen Gunning was the MC at a ‘cocktails and connections’ networking event in March, hosted by LEO Dublin City, where she met Cathy Soraghan (pictured on the left) from Women on the Run.
The networking event was jam-packed with people working in a number of various sectors across Ireland, topped off with delicious cocktails being on offer!
